About EagleStream — a Canadian streaming service built by engineers
We are a Halifax-based team that got tired of paying cable prices for a service that still buffered. EagleStream is the result: a lean, honest IPTV subscription with one app, one device, one price and a support desk that answers.
Why we started
EagleStream began in a Halifax apartment where three people were splitting a $132-a-month television bill and still missing half the football matches they wanted. The gap between what broadcasters charged and what the technology actually cost had become absurd.
We had the network engineering background to do it properly, so we built delivery infrastructure first and marketing second. That order of operations still defines the company: money goes into edge servers and the support desk, not into billboards.
Four commitments we do not bend
These are the rules that shaped every decision on the pricing page and every line of the service.
One device per line
We refuse to oversell bandwidth. A subscription serves one authorised device so the stream holds during peak evening traffic instead of degrading for everyone.
One supported app
IBO Player only. Depth beats breadth — our technicians know every setting in that app, which is why most tickets close in a single reply.
No auto-renewal traps
Nothing recurs silently. We send a reminder, you decide. A service worth keeping should not need a dark pattern to retain you.
Plain pricing
Five plans, published in Canadian dollars, no sports add-on and no 4K surcharge. The CA$10.99 month carries the same library as the annual term.
What we actually run
EagleStream operates on redundant edge servers positioned in Canada and the northeastern United States, with automatic failover between nodes. Our anti-freeze load balancer monitors stream health continuously and migrates a session before a viewer sees a stall — the reason we publish a 99.9% uptime target rather than an unverifiable "100% guarantee".
Delivery uses adaptive bitrate over HLS and MPEG-TS, with H.264 and H.265 encoding and a genuine 7-day XMLTV program guide. In practical terms: 4K Ultra HD where broadcasters supply it, a clean step down to FHD when a household's connection tightens, and a guide that is actually populated when you open it.
The library sits at 51,000+ live channels and 155,000+ on-demand titles, refreshed weekly. The full breakdown is on the channels page.
Where we stand
We are a reseller
EagleStream distributes subscription access sourced from licensed upstream providers. We do not host, originate or broadcast content ourselves.
We respond to rights holders
Valid copyright notices are acknowledged within five business days and acted on. The process is documented in our DMCA policy.
We hold minimal data
Name, email, phone — nothing more than activation requires, never sold. Retention periods are listed in the privacy policy.
Where to find us
Our operations desk is in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and our subscribers stretch from St. John's to Victoria. Support answers in English and French, 24 hours a day.
