EagleStream IPTV — frequently asked questions

Nineteen straight answers covering setup, devices, content, quality, billing and privacy. If your question is not here, our bilingual desk replies within minutes.

Getting started

IPTV means television delivered over your internet connection instead of a coaxial cable or a satellite dish. EagleStream issues you a subscription line — a username, password and portal address — that you load once into the IBO Player app. The app then pulls live channels, the on-demand library and the electronic program guide straight from our edge servers.

Complete the form on the order page, settle payment, and watch your WhatsApp. A Canadian advisor builds and tests the line by hand, then emails your credentials with a link to the setup guide. Activation usually takes 5 to 30 minutes.

No. EagleStream never hands out no-cost test lines, and we would rather say so plainly than bury it. New subscribers start on the paid CA$10.99 introductory month, which carries the entire library with nothing restricted.

No. If you own a smart TV, an Amazon Fire TV Stick, an Android box, a phone, a tablet or a computer from the last few years, you already have everything required. There is no box to rent and no installer appointment.

Devices and apps

IBO Player, exclusively. Supporting one well-understood app means our technicians can solve a problem in one message instead of guessing at settings. Full instructions for every platform are in the installation guide.

Android phones and tablets, Android TV boxes, Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube, Windows 10 and 11, macOS, and LG webOS and Samsung Tizen smart TVs. The complete list with notes lives on the supported devices page.

One per subscription. The limit is deliberate: reserving the whole bandwidth allocation for a single stream is what keeps 4K stable during peak evening traffic. A second screen in the house needs its own subscription.

Yes. Log out on the old device, install IBO Player on the new one, and send support the new MAC address and device key. We reattach the line, usually within minutes, at no charge.

Content and quality

More than 51,000 live channels and over 155,000 on-demand titles — roughly 9,200 films and 6,400 series with complete season runs. The category breakdown is published on the channels page.

Yes. NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA football, UFC numbered cards, boxing PPV, Premier League, Champions League, Formula 1 and Grand Slam tennis are all carried live, with sports feeds prioritised on the delivery network.

Up to 4K Ultra HD where the broadcaster supplies it, then FHD, HD and SD. Adaptive bitrate delivery steps the resolution down cleanly if your connection dips rather than freezing the picture. For reliable 4K, plan on roughly 25 Mbps.

Yes — a populated 7-day EPG with accurate Canadian and American schedules, plus catch-up on major networks so a late shift does not mean missing the broadcast.

Weekly. New releases and popular back-catalogue titles are added continuously, and complete boxsets load as soon as rights allow. Subscribers can request specific titles through support.

Billing, privacy and support

CA$10.99 for the introductory month, then $15.99 for one month, $24.99 for three, $39.99 for six and $69.99 for twelve — all in Canadian dollars. Side-by-side comparison on the pricing page.

No. Nothing renews on its own. We send a reminder before the term ends and you decide whether to extend. That is deliberately the opposite of how cable contracts work.

All sales are final once the line is activated because access is immediate. Verified exceptions — an outage over 72 consecutive hours, or a duplicate charge — are covered in the refund policy.

No. Lines are not IP-locked, so the service works from home, the cottage or abroad without extra software. Some subscribers use a VPN anyway if their provider throttles video — that is a preference, not a requirement.

We keep only the name, email and phone number needed to activate and support the line. Nothing is sold or shared with advertisers. The specifics, including retention periods, are in the privacy policy.

on WhatsApp, 24 hours a day, in English and French. Contact details and typical response times are on the contact page.

Still deciding?

The lowest-risk way to answer the remaining questions is to watch it yourself for a month. The CA$10.99 introductory plan carries the same 51,000+ channels as the annual term.
